Slow Food Nation has teamed up with The FruitGuys to co-produce the ultimate produce crate!

$20 of every box goes directly to Slow Food Nation for education and youth engagement. So far, we have helped to raise over $7,400!

Take part in a celebration of California farmers and the delicious food they produce – with a focus on rare and biodiverse products from Slow Food’s Ark of Taste.

This month's delivery will include:
Provence Lavender grown at Gabriel Farm, Sebastopol. Great for cooking, oils, body scrubs, potpourri.
Pistachios from Santa Barbara Pistachio Company. Great in salads, with yogurt and honey, and for snacks.
Sweet Corn from Terra Firma Farms. In the husk and on the cob, perfect for grilling!
Yellow Nectarines from B & L Farms. Sweet, juicy, and delicious!
Angelcots grown by our friend Marty at Maggiore Farms. Small and packed with a succulent punch.

Get the season’s finest monthly mix of local, fresh and original produce and preserves delivered right to your door! We try to include roughly 25 servings per crate. Typically, we classify a piece of fruit as a single serving. If there is a bunch of vegetables or a bag of beans, this may be considered multiple servings.

Proceeds benefit Slow Food Nation. All funds raised through this program will support youth engagement and education programs at the inaugural Slow Foods event in San Francisco on Labor Day weekend.

Cost: $59 per crate
Delivery: Delivered only in California on the last Thursday of every month, through August 28, 2008.
Subscription: Order month to month, or on a monthly subscription plan through the end of August.
